Berlin

About a year and few months ago, I visited Berlin, Germany. My father lived in Germany for a few years.

Berlin is quite the city these days. If you visit, you can still see the outline of the wall with a brick pattern embedded in the pavement. You can probably already predict what I’m going to write next. Yes, the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall was celebrated yesterday, with much pomp and circumstance, rightfully so.

I’m sure 20 years ago, there were many doubters that the wall would fall, and that Berlin would be reunited. Well it was, and Berlin today is one of the most expensive, interesting, and posh cities to live in the world. Don’t underestimate the ability of people or things to change.

Now that health care bill has passed the House it is time to get the bill passed in the Senate, and stop this price gouging. Happy birthday Sesame Street. Sunny talking about sunny days…..

This weekend I saw Marnie (1964) and The Man who knew too much(1956), both good Hitchcock films.
